Program Strategy Past & Present

ADRA has been serving the people of Lao PDR since 1991. During that time, ADRA Laos has implemented projects across 13 of 18 provinces including Luang Namtha, Bokeo, Phongsali, Oudomxai, Luang Prabang, Xaisomboun, Khammouan, Savannakhet, Champasak, Attapu, Xiangkhouang, Vientiane and Vientiane Capital.

Our programs have focused on Health, Nutrition, WASH, Agriculture & Natural Resource Management,  Climate Change Adaption, Disaster Risk Management, Income Generation, Education, Gender & Social Inclusion, and Tobacco Control.

Our current five-year program strategy from 2023-2025 is aligned with the current and future development priorities of the Government of Lao, donor and development partners, and is consistent with the global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

ADRA’s current priority sectors relate to Health (Nutrition, Reproductive Maternal Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) and Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) applying a holistic One Health approach and Agriculture and Livelihoods applying Nature Based Solution approaches.
